Tired of hanging your works of art from off-the-rack, store bought chains?  
Learn how to make beautiful jewelry based on the ancient art of CHAINMAILLE.  The same techniques and weaves used to make the armor of the 5th century can be adapted to make durable and unique jewelry, no soldering necessary.  In this introductory class, we will give a brief history and description of CHAINMAILLE, create a 16" - 18" sterling silver necklace out of the Flower Chain pattern and make a handcrafted clasp to complete the project.  You will be able to complete one necklace and have the skills to make your own jewelry outside of the class.  Chain nose and flat nose pliers will be available for use in the studio or bring your own.  Weaving chain requires working with small rings, so please bring appropriate glasses or a magnifying glass if needed.  C3 Studios offers a limited number of glasses for sale for your convenience.  The materials fee is for a chain made of sterling silver-you will have the choice to embellish with Yellow or Rose Gold for an extra fee.  No experience necessary.
