As an add-on workshop with Carol, we remove the wax piece and cast with glass. Carol Webb studied Lost Wax Casting with Linda Ethier (www.lindaethier.com) and will help demystify and simplify the process. The wax must be steamed out while the plaster is still green, so the next part of the workshop is on Monday evening. The steam-out only takes a few hours. The mold must be thoroughly dried and pre-fired before being used in a glass casting. We will meet again to setup the kiln and start the glass casting process. The final phase of the casting is to remove the plaster, so we meet again. It sounds confusing but it is a very step-by-step process and most artists can't take a week off for a workshop so we broke it down into segments for your convenience. This is one of your most requested workshops so register early and come join us for the fun. Maximum 10 students.
Approximately 5 hours.
$150 Instruction Fee plus $35 Materials Fee.
